Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-30

These terms govern your use of Ten-Fifty5. They are written to describe how the service actually behaves — what you are buying, what we do with your video, who owns an account, and what happens when something goes wrong. Where a term matters to your money or your data, it links to the page that explains it in full.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

Ten-Fifty5 (“we”, “us”) provides automated tennis match-video analysis. These terms apply to the website, the member area, and everything reached through them. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

Your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and the sub-processors listed alongside it. Where these terms and the Privacy Policy differ on how personal data is handled, the Privacy Policy governs.

2. Accounts, age, and who may hold one

  • You must be 18 or over to hold an account. We treat every player under 18 as a minor.
  • A minor never registers themselves. A player under 18 is added to an account by a consenting adult, who confirms they are that player’s parent or legal guardian at the point of adding them. We ask for a date of birth because the date decides whether that consent is needed — not the label anyone selects.
  • The adult who holds the account can review, export or delete a minor’s data at any time.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account.

3. Your video, and what you confirm about it

You keep ownership of the video you upload and of the analysis produced from it. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store, process and analyse the footage, play it back to you, and produce a trimmed version of it.

When you upload a match you confirm that everyone appearing in it has agreed to be recorded and analysed — and, for anyone under 18, that their parent or guardian has agreed. We ask on every upload rather than once at signup, because that confirmation is the only thing standing between an opponent and being analysed without their knowledge. Please do not upload footage you do not have permission to upload.

If someone appearing in a video asks us to remove their data, we will act on it. Write to info@ten-fifty5.com.

We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics — the kind that cannot be traced back to a person or a match — to improve the analysis. We do not sell your footage or your data.

4. Credits, payment and refunds

  • One credit analyses one match. A credit is consumed when a match is analysed, not when it is uploaded.
  • Credits do not expire. Anything you do not use stays on your account, whether it came from a subscription, a pay-as-you-go pack, or your free first analysis.
  • If an analysis fails, you are not charged. Where a credit was already taken and the analysis did not complete, it is returned to your account.
  • Prices are shown on the pricing page and charged in USD. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account and keep access to everything already analysed.
  • Because a credit is consumed by work we actually perform, spent credits are not refundable. Unused credits from a recent purchase can be refunded — write to us.

5. Coaches, academies and linked players

  • Coaching is free. A coach account costs nothing, and there is no limit on how many players link to it.
  • Each player owns their own account, in their own name. Linking a coach transfers ownership of nothing.
  • A linked coach can see that player’s matches and upload on their behalf. An upload by a coach uses the player’s credit, never the coach’s.
  • A player can remove a coach’s access at any time, from their own account. Removing it stops both the viewing and the uploading immediately.
  • An invitation link is single-use, and expires if it is not accepted.

6. What the analysis is, and what it is not

Ten-Fifty5 produces statistics and coaching suggestions from video, using automated analysis. It is an estimate, not a measurement. Accuracy depends heavily on how a match was filmed — camera height, framing, lighting, and whether the whole court stays in shot — and we tell you when we think the footage has limited what we could see.

Use it as an input to your own judgement. It is not officiating, it is not medical or physiotherapy advice, and it is not a substitute for a coach.

We work to keep the service available and improving, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and features may change. Where a change removes something you have paid for, we will tell you.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • upload footage you do not have permission to upload, or content that is unlawful;
  • use the service to identify, track or profile someone without their knowledge;
  • share an account to avoid paying, or resell the analysis as your own product;
  • attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.

We may suspend an account doing these things. Where we do, we will say why, and you keep the right to export your data.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Ten-Fifty5 at any time, and ask us to delete your account. Deleting a match removes it from your Locker Room and deletes the stored video. Some records of what was purchased are kept, because we are required to keep financial records. What is deleted, what is anonymised and what is retained is set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: the service is provided as it is; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken on the basis of the analysis; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or what you are paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction — without affecting any consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
